Our weekly #Activate vlog series uses clips from Educe® online courses to illuminate the truth behind the cultural battles of today (and tomorrow) and move Christians from education to action in their communities, churches, and circles of influence.
As modern feminism celebrates abortion, as part of Women’s History Month, we thought it important to raise up a missing voice—the feminist foremothers. Did first-wave feminists work to make abortion “safe and accessible” as part of their fight for women’s rights? Or did they see it as a symptom of, not a solution to, women’s inequality?
This week’s online course clip explains the focus of the early movement and thus, its clear and direct opposition to the injustice and oppression of abortion.
This course excerpt is from Session 2: Infiltration, which focuses on the 1900s-1920s. It’s part of our Foundations online curriculum.
