Educe® online pro-life curriculum: An introduction
Transcript
Sarah Quale: Some years ago I was standing outside of an abortion facility praying and I felt this incredible burden for what was going on there and I realized that there was something I was supposed to do. I started looking. I started trying to understand what was happening to our culture, to our society. How did we get here? Where are we going? What are we supposed to do about it as God’s church, as the body? And I realized that there were lots of bits and pieces of information out there, and there was a lot of misinformation on both sides. So when I started to dig in, I realized that there was so much research that needed to be pulled together. It was the impetus for sending off people, for allowing them to understand what it means to be pro-life, across the board, comprehensively, from history to culture to biblically, standing on that solid foundation.
Rev. Brian Walker: I’m a program director of Pro-Life Action Ministries, also a member of the National Black Pro-Life Coalition. And I’m not a producer, most people are not… not a director and certainly not an actor, and so we need help when we present pro-life 101. And the nice thing about that, I’ve seen good pieces on Sanger. I’ve seen good pieces on Planned Parenthood, but I’ve never really seen something that’s as comprehensive as this and that also has the curriculum to go with it, study guides. I think you could really use it as a homeschooler, college setting. And also as a program director, I need help to explain pro-life 101, and I think that’s really great what she’s done and pulled this together for us and for you.
Pastor Brian Lother: I’ve been a part of the pro-life movement since 1991 and one of the difficulties is just getting the complete picture of how did we get to where we are at with the abortion crisis that’s in America, and of course around the world, but particularly in America, and the curriculum that has been put together by Sarah Quale is second to none. This curriculum is really a curriculum that will never be outdated because it’s historical and secondly, it really gives a perspective of how did we get to where we are at and in doing so it allows us to have a proper perspective on how do we really move forward to eradicate this terrible crisis of abortion in America.
Sarah Quale: And so what this curriculum does is really prepare people according to how they are uniquely called, according to how they are individually called to stand for life.
